LOS ANGELES–Los Angeles will host the 2015 Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, a celebration marking Indian diaspora contributions that help to spur India’s development, on November 14 and 15, according to Embassy of India.
Since 2007, the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, the US government and other members of the diaspora have collaborated to organize the event.
The Regional Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, organized by Ministry of Overseas Indians, attempts to connect the Indian Diaspora with India, bringing their knowledge, expertise and skills together. The 2015 Convention will be the ninth such conference held outside India. A Business Meet for the Overseas Indians is also held alongside the Regional PBD.
The RPBD in Los Angeles is for the Indian American community and anyone who is interested in becoming involved in India’s growing relationship with the US as well as those looking for investment opportunities/ collaborations/ business connects with India.
